The best yeast do-nuts in the state of NC? The apple fritters are my favorite. my husband likes the creamed filled do-nuts. So sorry to see them moving to Apex.

Saw the reviews and had to try these donuts and fritters. The donuts are delicious and there is a wide variety of them to choose from. The old fashion ones are my favorite. As others have said the apple fritters are the best I've ever had. After I got home I warmed one up in the microwave for 10 seconds and OMG it was crunchy on the outside and soft and slightly gooey on the inside. Run don't walk to get these.

Great place for Donuts! Hint, go early because they sell out of their popular items early! This is a small place so pick them up and take home. They are made fresh every morning. Don't forget to get a dozen or two holes to eat on the way home!

Baker's Dozen donuts are the best in town, hands down! I've been visiting periodically for the past 18-months and every visit has been as spectacular as the last! As someone who has eaten donuts all my life, I can attest to the freshness, flavors, and consistency of BD donuts! The staff at Baker's Dozen is always speedy and cordial. They are happy to help you to assemble the best assortment of doughy treats, and then send you on your way to enjoy them. The shop itself is no frills! Wait in line, get your donuts and maybe some coffee, and head out to chow down. Highly recommend Baker's Dozen for anyone who hasn't had it, and who may be looking for your next top donut shop in Raleigh (and beyond)!

Baker's Dozen sells the best donuts. I ordered a half dozen and selected a maple icing raise, lemon filled, buttercream filled, sugar raise and two apple fritters. The apple fritter fell victim first on the car ride home, it was amazing. The rest of the donuts were tasty too. This spot is a must visit for donut lovers in the area.

Get there EARLY if you want choices, call the day before if you need a quantity order, don't be surprised if they're out of everything by noon on a Friday, and always get an Apple fritter or Bavarian cream if they're available. Ambiance is fine if you're facing the glass case, lol, but the rest of the store is just for waiting. They don't want you to stay, there's no plan to sit, so take your donuts and go. It's better that way.

I was looking so forward to visiting this place. I've lived here 3 years and would think about going then just would change my mind. I decided to go today because I have a friend visiting so I brought a half dozen home. Service was fast as there were only a few in the store. The donut cases look appealing and clean. I got a filled raspberry glazed, filled lemon glazed, Boston cream, chocolate glazed, strawberry glazed, and a chocolate frosted sour cream. Right off the bat, I was disappointed. The raspberry and lemon filling have an off putting flavor so I am assuming it's purchased elsewhere and not made in house. While the raised doughnuts are nice and soft, they really are too commercial for me. I can tell it's not a homemade doughnut like my momma would make. The sour cream doughnut was good but the frosting on top ruined it for me. It was way too sweet and I was wishing I had gotten plain ones. Overall, if you aren't spoiled like I am by enjoying homemade doughnuts all your life, you may love these. If I was craving a doughnut I'd go back and get a plain doughnut. Not a bad place at all, just me liking homemade flavors and not factory made fillings.
